ACCOMMODATION, REHEARSAL AND CONCERT VENUES

Accommodation for our chamber music course will be provided in 'Ahorn', set in the village of Blatten bei Naters; it is a spacious house with a private attached chapel, perfect as a rehearsal hall, and has two other rehearsal areas besides. The village itself has wonderful views, lying as it does at the foot of the Aletsch glacier. in the region of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.(Swiss Alps: Jungfrau- Aletsch.) The possibility of taking the cable car up to see this stunning spectacle. is clearly on our minds!.

Accommodation:
The house can accommodate 30 guests, rooms laid out with 1, 2 or 3 beds, each with en-suite WC and shower.  Bedding provided.

'Ahorn' has a wonderful setting, with plenty of ground around to explore, and an area for badminton and table tennis,

as well as a large community room indoors and table football in the dining salon.

Concert day in Binn

Binn Valley is located in the Upper Valais and borders Italy. With its natural beauty, dramatic views and ancient wooden villages such as Binn, the area calls us back in time. Once the focus of the pack mule trade route, connecting the region with Italy via the Alpbrun pass (2400m), there are still parts of the trail to be seen and followed. They are frequently punctuated by the presence of small Chapels, which lend themselves to reflection on the harmony between humanity and nature - hence our festival. We will return again this year to both the chapels and the church, and repeat the successful walking tour of the chapels that appealed to many.

The final concert which will be held in the Pfarrkirche St. Michael, Binn, which overlooks the village from its position on the hill.

Last year's concert was a wonderful event, and it and Chapels performances were extremely well attended.
